Behind the Green Door: The Green Door of Tuscany

 The Green Door of Tuscany

A celebrated vineyard. An unusual new wine. And a green door standing between one family and the secrets it would rather leave buried.

Two months after her Santorini adventure, Louisa “Lulu” Penrose has settled once again into life at her aunt’s pink-doored villa in Positano. Her days are pleasantly occupied by books, cafés and the increasingly frequent attentions of Stuart Cameron.

Then Lulu befriends Anna Silvestri, a spirited young Englishwoman whose Italian family owns a magnificent vineyard in Tuscany.

The Silvestris are preparing for one of the most important occasions in the vineyard’s history. Their winery is due to receive an award for excellence while unveiling a crisp new white wine—an unexpected creation in a region better known for its reds. Anna invites Lulu and Mrs. Dalrymple to join the family celebration, with Stuart and the recently returned Edward Morgan included as well.

What begins as an idyllic visit among sunlit vines, elegant dinners and ancient stone buildings soon takes an unsettling turn. Carefully guarded tensions emerge within the Silvestri family, small inconsistencies begin to trouble Lulu, and the vineyard’s green door appears to conceal more than an ordinary storeroom.

With the award ceremony approaching and the family’s reputation at stake, Lulu must determine whether someone intends to ruin the vineyard’s moment of triumph—or whether the true threat comes from a secret rooted much deeper in its past.

As Lulu follows the clues, Stuart appears increasingly determined to prove that his intentions extend beyond their latest investigation. At the same time, the immediate spark between Anna and Edward adds a second romance to a holiday already complicated enough.

Rich with Tuscan scenery, family intrigue, sparkling conversation and slow-burn romance, The Green Door of Tuscany is the third lighthearted historical mystery in the Doorway Series.

In Tuscany, even the most beautiful vines may grow around something carefully
